Worship is the reverent love and allegiance we as Christians accord Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior; it is the praise of God and the edification of His people. Here at Compass Church, we express this love and allegiance in a variety of ways, including prayer, being still before our God, instrumental music, voices raised in joyful celebration and honor, corporate scripture reading, and expository teaching from the pulpit.Times and Location

Women find themselves involved in a variety of areas at Compass Church. Our Thursday morning and evening Women of the Word Bible study groups meet for two semesters; the fall semester starts in September and continues through mid-November. The spring semester runs from January through March. Women of the Word normally has 2 to 4 study options, as well as having child care available during the morning studies.
Titus 2 is a ladies mentorship ministry. Women ages 18 and up share their lives in a spiritually centered, one-on-one, intentional relationship for a 6 month period. Ladies may participate as a mentor, mentee, and/or as a prayer partner. The Titus 2 program is typically offered once a year, beginning in late September or October. If you are interested in hearing more, please contact the church office (445-7206 or email@example.com).
In addition to Bible study and discipleship groups, Compass Church has two groups which function both as missions, outreach, and fellowship:
Piecemakers meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 9:00am. They make crafts which they sell, the proceeds of which go to fund TouchGlobal Ministries. They also make dresses for orphans in the Congo and layette sets for use at Tandala Hospital.
The Threaded Hearts Quilters (click on title for link to Threaded Hearts web page) meet each Tuesday during the school year, from 11:30am to 3:00pm. They begin with prayer followed by a potluck luncheon, quilting instruction, and then piecing quilt tops. They focus on intergenerational fellowship while they make love quilts for those in the Compass Church body who are struggling with hardship, illness, the death of a loved one, or perhaps to honor someone who has long served at Compass Church.
All groups enjoy great fellowship and learn new skills. All groups are open to women in the community.
If you would like to sample any of these opportunities and want more information, please contact the church office (445-7206).
